OLED display mobile users report ‘green line’ issue

New Delhi: A green line is making smartphone users see red. Social media and consumer forums are replete with instances of consumers complaining about green lines appearing on the display of their smartphones after a few months of use.

The issue seems to be affecting smartphones with OLED displays – a type of panel often marketed as being of superior quality – where a horizontal or vertical green line appears on the display permanently till it’s on. That said, normal operations remain unaffected.
