Old Google phones get this Pixel 4 camera feature

Google has released an update for the Camera app which brings astrophotography mode to older Pixel phones like the Pixel 3, 3XL, 3a and 3a XL. The new version 7.2 of the Google Camera app also offers an interface that is similar to Pixel 4’s camera. The new Camera app is also available on Google Play. Having said that older Pixel phone users will not get all the camera features of the Pixel 4 series as already confirmed by Google.
Google said that the new features like Live HDR+, and Dual Exposure Controls will be available only on the latest Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. Both the features may sound like mere software enhancements, but Google states that Live HDR+ and Dual Exposure COntrol require hardware support that is missing in older Pixel phones.
Meanwhile, the company has stopped rolling out Android security patches starting November for the first series of Google Pixel smartphones. While other Pixel series smartphones received the November 2019 security patch, the first Pixel handsets did not receive the same.
