Ola Futurefactory to be run entirely by women: CEO Bhavish Aggarwal
Bengaluru: Ola Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal on Monday said the company’s electric scooter plant Ola Futurefactory will be run entirely by women.
Ola Electric, the Bengaluru-based ride-hailing startup’s e-mobility business, is manufacturing electric scooters at a 500-acre site near Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu. The factory is expected to have an annual capacity of 10 million vehicles.
“Aatmanirbhar Bharat requires Aaatmanirbhar women! Proud to share that the Ola Futurefactory will be run entirely by women, 10,000+ at full scale! It’ll be the largest all-women factory in the world,” Aggarwal, who also cofounded Ola, tweeted.
