Offline retailers counter Xiaomi India claims on inventory allocation; ask Oppo to stop online discounts
NEW DELHI: Offline mobile retailers have countered Xiaomi India head Manu Jain’s comments that offline inventory issues were largely due to supply shortage and said that the Chinese brand is deliberately delaying inventory of newly launched products and is diverting it to its own channel along with other ecommerce partners to save margins.
AIMRA, which represents 1.50 lakh mainline mobile retailers of India, also said that Korean brand Samsung is also involved in a similar practice, and isn’t providing certain in-demand models at all to offline partners.
