Office-bearers of BSNL contractors’ union booked for fraud

The Crime Branch, Jammu, today registered an FIR against office-bearers of the BSNL contractors’ union for preparing a forged document with the intention to put a complainant, a contractor, to a huge financial loss.
According to the official spokesperson, a written complaint was lodged by Mohammad Ayoub Khan, a contractor and resident of Poonch district’s Surankote area, wherein he stated that BSNL had allotted work for providing and laying of underground NFS cable network in Rajouri to Sterlite Technologies, a business partner of Ericsson, which further allotted the contract for Rs 60 lakh in favour of him (complainant) by virtue of an agreement.
