‘Not worked out 5G plans with Huawei’

NEW DELHI: Vodafone-Idea, the country’s biggest telecom operator, said on Wednesday that the company has not worked out 5G plans with Huawei and will not work with the Chinese vendor if the Indian government decides to bar it over security concerns.

“We will follow whatever the Indian government decides and dictates in this matter. As a responsible corporate citizen, we will ensure that India’s strategic needs are fully looked after,” Vodafone-Idea chief technology officer Vishant Vora said.
