Nordic countries are the new hotspot for Indian IT

PUNE: Indian IT services companies are increasingly looking at Nordic countries, with most firms already having a sizeable presence in the region. Over the last few months, Tech MahindraNSE 0.19 % and WiproNSE -0.08 % said that they would set up centres in Finland, while HCL TechnologiesNSE 0.44 % has been present there for a decade now. InfosysNSE -2.46 %, in addition to working with companies in the region, got a foothold in the market through its acquisition of Fluido in 2018.

The Nordic countries — Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland — are largely English speaking, which removes the language barrier that exists in some other countries within continental Europe.
