Nokia wins optical network gear order from Detsche Telekom

Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia said on Monday Deutsche Telekom has picked it as a long-term strategic partner to upgrade its optical network to cater to Industry 4.0 needs.

No financial details were disclosed.

Nokia said it will deploy its WaveFabric service-ready platforms and Nokia WaveSuite software portfolio powered by the PSE-V family of coherent DSPs (digital signal processors) which will help Deutsche Telekom in transforming its optical core network and regional distribution sites.
