Nokia to deploy 5G services for Philippines’ DITO
NEW DELHI: Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia Wednesday said it has inked a 5G deployment deal with Philippines-based DITO Telecommunity Corporation (DITO).
Nokia will deploy 5G services on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines and will help DITO in building a 5G network throughout the country which was formally launched in May 2021, as per an official statement.
Nokia said it will provide equipment from its massive MIMO, multi-band, Single RAN AirScale portfolio to build the Radio Access Network (RAN) for the 5G infrastructure across the island.
