Nokia to deploy 5G-ready IP network for Deutsche Telekom
NEW DELHI: Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia on Thursday said it has extended its partnership with Germany’s telecoms operator Deutsche Telekom Group to build a 5G-ready IP network for the telco.
The telco has selected Nokia’s 7750 Service Router (SR) platform for expanding capacity across its edge/core routing network for broadband and 5G services.
Deployment has already commenced in Greece, where Nokia is replacing and modernizing the operator’s existing IP network. The rollout in Hungary is expected in Q4 2020, Nokia said in a joint statement.
