Nokia to deploy 5G RAN for Sweden’s Telia Company in Finland

NEW DELHI: Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia on Wednesday said it has been selected by Sweden’s Telia Company as an exclusive supplier of 5G RAN in Finland in a five-year deal and has also been selected as the supplier of 5G SA core in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden in the Nordic and Baltic regions.

The five year deal would see Nokia modernizing Telia’s legacy networks as well and will cover 7,500 sites along with 5G rollout in Finland, Nokia said.
