Nokia says India a key market for enterprise business; in talks with telcos
NEW DELHI: Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia said that India is a key market not just for future 5G deployment but for its enterprise business which is gaining momentum already. It has started close engagements with telecom operators to tap the enterprise opportunity in India in a bid to drive growth, having inked an SDWAN partnership with Vodafone Idea Limited.
“…it’s absolutely an extremely key market, not just for 5G but also in terms of supply [of gear and solutions] to new businesses and uses cases and industries…we should start to see some very exciting things happening in India,” Chris Johnson, Nokia’s Senior Vice President, Customer Operations for vertical Enterprise markets told ET.
Johnson said that Nokia is brining value in terms of vertical understanding markets understanding and, “telcos are by far the most interesting way to tap the market.”
