Nokia launches knowledge hub for new companies in fiber broadband space

NEW DELHI: Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia Thursday launched the ‘Fiber Techzone’ knowledge hub which the company said is aimed at new companies in the fiber broadband space and will guide them to fund, build, operate, and monetize a broadband network.

“Fiber Techzone will provide broadband builders with insights, from high-level explanations of how fiber-to-the-home networks work, to how they can improve in-home Wi-Fi experience for their customers, to recommendations on how to monetize their fiber investment,” Nokia said in a statement.

Fiber broadband today reached 850 million homes, or 65% of the global population, and will grow to 70% by 2025, according to research firm Omdia.
