Nokia launches Core SaaS for 5G
NEW DELHI: Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia on Wednesday launched its Core Software-as-a-Service for 5G aimed at telecom companies and enterprises.
“Nokia Core SaaS allows operators and enterprises to move away from the legacy practice of deploying customized software that runs on private infrastructure; and to consume Nokia’s Core software, including 5G Packet Core, on-demand through a more cost-effective subscription service,” the company said in a statement, claiming that its software service eliminates large upfront capital expenditure.
It added that trials are expected to start soon with commercial availability expected in the first half of 2023.
