Nokia bags 5G RAN, core network services deal from A1 Austria

NEW DELHI: Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia on Thursday said it has bagged a multi-year 5G deal from A1 Austria under which it will supply 5G radio access and core network services.

Nokia said it will supply A1 with its AirScale portfolio including 5G RAN, AirScale base stations and Nokia AirScale radio access products to deliver connectivity and capacity benefits to the Austrian telco’s customers.

The deployment of products and services is underway with the core element expected to be rolled out in the first half of 2021, according to an official statement.
