Nokia bags 5G network deployment deal from Togocom
NEW DELHI: Finnish telecoms gear maker Nokia Monday said it has bagged a three-year deal from Togolese telecoms company Togocom to deploy 5G across the country. The fifth-generation or 5G mobile broadband network has already been launched In the capital city Lomé.
Under the deal, Nokia will also modernize legacy 2G, 3G, and 4G networks to future-proof Togocom’s network infrastructure for the next generation of digital services.
Nokia will provide equipment from its AirScale portfolio, including AirScale Base Stations, and AirScale massive MIMO Adaptive Antenna solutions.
Nokia already supplies its AirScale Micro Remote Radio Head (RRH) solution to meet the demand for capacity and reliable coverage both indoors and outdoors. Togocom also deploys the Nokia AirFrame data center solution.
