Nokia, Aramco ink R&D pact to support Industry 4.0 use cases development

NEW DELHI: Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia’s research arm, Nokia Bell Labs, and energy company Aramco have signed a non-binding research & development collaboration agreement to support the development of use cases for Industry 4.0/IR digital, as well as, focus on proof-on-concept development for priority industrial sectors in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

“Building on the vision of the recently launched Aramco Digital Company, this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is envisioned to accelerate digital transformation within the Kingdom, the Middle East, and North Africa (MENA) region and globally,” Nokia said in a statement Wednesday.
