Nokia 2.1 gets new Android Pie update with latest security patch
HMD Global has released a new Android Pie update for the Nokia 2.1 smartphone. If you are using the Nokia 2.1, then head to the ‘Settings’ option on the phone to check for the update. The new software update package also includes the latest Android August 2019 security patch. The update also improves the overall performance and UI experience of the device. Users are recommended to backup their personal data before starting the update process.
Back in February this year, the company had announced Android Pie (Go Edition) update for Nokia 2.1. To recall, Nokia 2.1 was launched in May last year along with Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1. The handset is an Android One smartphone and offers a 4,100mAh battery. It comes with a starting price of Rs 5,649 in India.
The Nokia 2.1 smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution. The screen comes with anti-fingerprint coating. It is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The handset offers an internal storage of 8GB which may be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card support. For imaging duties, the smartphone boasts of a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. There is also an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Nokia 2.1 houses a 4100mAh battery.
