New Zealand’s Rakon opens R&D facility in Bengaluru

NEW DELHI: New Zealand’s Rakon on Thursday opened a new 100,000 sq. ft. research & development (R&D) facility in the SEZ Aerospace Park in Bengaluru which will replace the two facilities it earlier had leased in the city.

Rakon is a designer and manufacturer of advanced frequency control and timing products for 5G networks and satellites to autonomous vehicles and emergency beacons.

“The new facility represents an important milestone for our company and will future-proof our India operations. It is one of the world’s largest and most sophisticated manufacturing sites for advanced frequency control and timing solutions and a symbol of Rakon’s long-term commitment to growing and investing in our operations here in India,” said Rakon CEO Sinan Altug.
