New WhatsApp feature! Android users can now ‘Search by Date’, find messages, media with precision

WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature for Android users—a “search by date” function for personal and group chats. Already available on iOS, Mac desktop, and WhatsApp Web, it enables users to search for messages, photos, or videos sent on a specific date.

Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder and CEO of Facebook’s parent company Meta, shared the new feature announcement on his WhatsApp channel.

“When you realize you have got the perfect response in an old chat…” he wrote as he shared a video of him searching for an old chat about Karaoke. He credited WhatsApp’s new search-by-date feature.
