Nelco partners Telesat to offer LEO satellite connectivity in India

NEW DELHI: Home-bred satellite communication service provider Nelco on Wednesday joined hands with satellite operator Telesat to offer Telesat low-earth orbit satellite connectivity in India.

Under the partnership, the two companies will also collaborate on terrestrial facilities and commercial distribution frameworks required for providing satellite connectivity.

Telesat, in a joint statement, said the Telesat LEO will help in narrowing the digital divide, accelerate 5G expansion, and provide enhanced performance for enterprise, telecom, mobility, and government broadband connectivity on land, air, and sea.
