NCLT clears merger of Vodafone, Idea units

Kolkata: The Ahmedabad bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has cleared the amalgamation of Vodafone Idea’s twin wholly-owned subsidiaries – Vodafone India Digital and Idea Telesystems – with itself.

The NCLT’s Ahmedabad bench, “vide its order dated February 18, 2020, has approved the scheme of amalgamation of Vodafone India Digital and Idea Telesystems with the company,” Vodafone Idea said in an exchange filing on Wednesday.

Vodafone India Digital and Idea Telesystems are wholly-owned arms involved in driving the digital apps business of Vodafone Idea.
