MWC23: Nokia demonstrates 6G capabilities, research on lunar networks

NEW DELHI: Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia demonstrated a preview of the capabilities of sixth-generation or 6G technology, and its research on lunar networks, at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2023 (MWC23).

As part of a NASA initiative, Nokia Bell Labs is partnering with Intuitive Machines and Lunar Outpost for the IM-2 mission, which is scheduled to launch to the Moon’s south pole late this year.
