Mumbai: Uber launches corporate bus shuttles for office-goers to dissuade them from bringing private cars on roads

MUMBAI: After cabs, Uber has now ventured into the bus business for the first time ever. The intention behind the move is to dissuade maximum office goers to leave behind their private cars at home and switch to buses which have carrying capacity in the range of 10 to 50 passengers, depending on bus model.

Uber officials on Wednesday announced the launch of a corporate bus shuttle service for companies to get employees to and from work safely in the new normal during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The service will be available in Mumbai and across other cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and Bangalore, an official said.
