Mumbai court grants bail to Raj Kundra in adult films case

A metropolitan magistrate’s court Monday granted bail to businessman Raj Kundra, who was arrested in July in the case pertaining to the alleged creation and publishing of pornographic films on mobile applications. He was granted bail on a surety of Rs 50,000 with certain conditions.

Kundra had filed a fresh bail plea last week after the Mumbai Police’s supplementary chargesheet in the case had named him as an accused.

Kundra, in his plea filed through lawyer Prashant Patil, had submitted that he was being made a “scapegoat” without any conclusive evidence, and he should be released as the probe against him has been completed.
