Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani dethrone Chinese tech magnates in global rich list

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani and Adani Group founder Gautam Adani have raced past Chinese billionaires and tech tycoons like Jack Ma and Zhong Shanshan in global wealth rankings, making them Asia’s richest businesspersons.

According to data from Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ambani’s wealth has soared over $84 billion, making him the 12th richest person on the planet. Ambani has added $7.62 billion in 2021 so far.

Adani’s wealth, on the other hand, has increased to $77 billion, registering a spike of $43.2 billion in 2021 so far. Adani is the 14th richest man, according to Bloomberg data.
