Motorola is planning to add Moto Mods to its future foldable phones
Motorola just showcased its foldable Razr 2020 smartphone and to take foldable phones to the next level, the company is reportedly planning to bring back Moto Mods. Motorola is working on a foldable phone with a modular design which will allow users to add accessories like projector, speakers among others. The connector for the Mods will most likely be placed centrally on the hinge where the device folds.
Motorola hasn’t revealed anything officially about foldable phones with Moto Mods but patent filings have confirmed that company indeed has got some plans. Interestingly, to incorporate a modular design, Motorola might even opt for two separate displays instead of a flexible panel in its future clamshell design phone.
Motorola recently launched its Moto Razr smartphone with a foldable screen. The Moto Razr (2019) is priced at $1,499.99, which is roughly Rs 1,07,400 in the Indian currency.
