Mindtree staff take to Twitter to oppose takeover, back founders

As a move for hostile takeover of Mindtree has been unravelled, employees of the IT company have come out in public backing the founders.

The news of L&T Infotech readying a bid to take over Mindtree has turned social media into an outpost for employees to express their opinions. Most of them were against the takeover as they believed an acquisition, followed by possible merger and new management structures, would render many of them jobless or force them to check for newer job opportunities. “At a time when job offers are not strong, we fear that our roles will be dissolved,” said Chitra Ramaswamy, who works in the software team that works with US retailers.
