Microsoft working on creating right Cloud infrastructure for India

Microsoft has started using its research and development centres in India to create the right cloud infrastructure for the country as well as other emerging markets, a senior executive told ET.

This comes after the US-based technology behemoth saw a sharp increase in demand for its Cloud-based services at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic last year.

Its India development centres are currently driving three areas of research, said Rajiv Kumar, managing director, Microsoft India Research & Development.
