Microsoft wants you to update your Windows PC urgently, here’s why

Tech giant Microsoft has issued an urgent security patch for Windows users. “We recommend that you install these updates immediately,” says Microsoft. “The security updates released on and after July 6, 2021 contain protections for CVE-2021-1675 and the additional remote code execution exploit in the Windows Print Spooler service known as ‘PrintNightmare’, documented in CVE-2021-34527.”

Why is Microsoft asking users to update Windows?

Last week, a vulnerability called PrintNightmare was discovered by security researchers. The PrintNightmare vulnerability allows bad actors to use remote code execution, through which they can install programs, create new accounts with admin rights and even modify data.
