Microsoft to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo; offers to talk with Sony
Microsoft has entered a 10-year agreement with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles upon the completion of the Microsoft-Activision merger, said Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft’s gaming division, in a tweet.
Spencer further confirmed that Call of Duty will be made available on Steam, so the new titles will release simultaneously on PCs as it comes on Xbox.
The announcement comes after authorities raised concerns over the deal that it could squelch competition. However, the deal has been approved in 3 out of 8 countries, with reports of FTC green lighting the acquisition soon. The deal is currently approved in 3 countries out of 8.
