Microsoft Surface Duo is expected to receive Android 11 update soon after its launch

Reports say that Microsoft is reportedly planning to launch its first dual-screen smartphone — Surface Duo — next month. The dual-screen phone from the company will likely run Android 10 out-of-the-box. However, Windows Latest claims that the Surface Duo will be among one of the first Android devices to receive the Android 11 update.
According to the report, Android 11 for Surface Duo is already in works and the company might start rolling out the update soon after Android 11 official announcement, which is expected to happen in September this year.
Surface Duo was announced last year and the company has already confirmed that the device runs on the previous generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and is expected to feature 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. Given that the hardware specifications of the upcoming device are not that attractive, Microsoft is betting big on software experience and optimisation and that was pretty evident with the company’s keynote from last year.
