Microsoft Skype bug answering calls automatically, but worry not; here’s a fix
Months ago we came across a bug in iPhone FaceTime that automatically picked up a call without letting users know. Something similar has now happened with Microsoft’s Skype VoIP service. This is happening due to a new bug about which users have been reporting on Microsoft’s Community forum page (via Android Police) ever since January this year. It has been added that although users have the option to deactivate the “Answer incoming calls automatically” option, there is no change seen in how the app handles the bug.
According to a complaint made by a user in January in Microsoft’s Community web page, the Skype app answered calls automatically after a few seconds. “My Skype on my phone automatically answers calls after a few seconds. This is even when my phone is in my pocket. It started happening since a few weeks,” said the person. The bug apparently showed up in Skype version: 8.36.0.76 on Lenovo P2 running Android 7. Even re-installing the app didn’t work as expected.
