Microsoft may launch new premium laptop to replace the Surface Book

Now that Microsoft has made Windows 11 official and announced all the major software-based enhancements, it doesn’t come as a major surprise that the Satya Nadella-led tech giant is also working on launching a new flagship hardware lineup as well. According to a report by Windows Central, the upcoming top of the line Windows laptop won’t be called Surface Book, but something close to “Surface Laptop,” “Surface Laptop Pro” or “Surface Laptop Studio.”

The report claims that Microsoft will not be offering a detachable screen with the soon to be launched laptop. This is because, with the non-detachable design, Microsoft will have the option to equip them with “more powerful chips” in comparison to the U-series processors that power the current Microsoft Surface Book lineup.
