Microsoft makes Bing as the default search engine for ChatGPT

Microsoft has announced that OpenAI, the company it invested billions into, is integrating Bing Search into ChatGPT. This means that ChatGPT AI chatbot’s answers will now search data from Bing and include citations, for up-to-date answers.

At the Microsoft Build conference, the company also announced that it is expanding the integration of Bing Chat across Microsoft’s copilots.

“We’re taking the next steps to further expand how people can interact with search and how developers can build on our AI platform,” said Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s head of consumer marketing.
