Microsoft has a warning for Windows 11 users
Microsoft is warning Windows 11 users as few of the features in the operating system are failing to load. According to the tech giant, Windows 11 features such as Snipping Tool, Touch Keyboard, Emoji panel and others can not load properly due to an expired certificate. The certificate expired on October 31.
The company has rolled out a patch to fix the issue but it is currently available in preview, which means that users have to manually download and install the patch on their PCs. As per the company, patch KB5006746 will fix Touch Keyboard, Voice Typing and Emoji Panel along with Input Method Editor user interface and Getting started and Tips sections of the operating system. To download the patch, users can go to the Windows Update section in the Settings.
The Windows 11 patch doesn’t resolve the issue with the snipping tool and for that the company has shared a workaround. “To mitigate the issue with Snipping Tool, use the Print Screen key on your keyboard and paste the screenshot into your document. You can also paste it into Paint to select and copy the section you want.” recommends Microsoft.
