Micron signs MoU with Gujarat government for semiconductor plant at Sanand

Chennai/New Delhi: US-based semiconductor memory IDM (Integrated Device Manufacturer) Micron signed an MoU with the government of Gujarat on Wednesday to set up a semiconductor plant for assembly and testing of chips in Sanand in Gujarat.

The Boise, Idaho-headquartered company said the upcoming facility in the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), Sanand will be a fully integrated one wherein wafers would go in and finished DRAM and RAM products would come out.
