Micromax cuts jobs as it shifts focus from handsets to urban mobility: Report

NEW DELHI: Homegrown handset maker Micromax has cut “dozens of jobs” at its head office in Gurugram, as well as in other branch offices across the country, tech publication TechCrunch reported Wednesday.

The job cuts have affected ranks in sales, product, testing, research & development (R&D), and the rest of the business, the report said, adding that its chief business officer (CBO) and chief product officer (CPO) have also resigned in the last few months.
