Mediatek launches SoC with support for dual 5G standby

NEW DELHI: Taiwanese semiconductor maker MediaTek on Tuesday launched Dimensity 800U SoC, its latest addition to the growing family of Dimensity 5G SoC series.

The SoC which is built on the 7nm process features an octa-core CPU with a dual-cluster comprising 2xArm Cortex-A76 processors with a clock speed of 2.4GHz and 6xCortex-A55 processors clocked at 2.0GHz paired with an Arm Mali-G57 GPU, an independent AI processing unit (APU) and LPDDR4x RAM.
