Mavenir says aiming to finalise OpenRAN 5G deals with Indian telcos soon

NEW DELHI: US-based telecom gear maker Mavenir is in discussions with Indian telecom operators, including cash-strapped Vodafone Idea, for securing 5G equipment deals. The company expects to commercially supply its made-in-India 4G and 5G Open Radio Access Network (Open RAN) radios in less than a quarter, according to a top executive of the company.
