Man involved in cyber crime arrested, cloned ATM cards seized

The Cyber Cell of Giridih Police arrested a youth involved in cyber crime in Giridih district and seized 2 cloning machines, 10 mobile sets, one Laptop, 23 ATM cards, 4 motorcycles, 4 passbooks and cash Rs 25,500 from his house, Dy SP Sandeep Suman said.

The man, identified as Ramlil Mandal, was arrested following a raid conducted by a police team headed by Dy Superintendent of Police (Cyber Cell) Sandeep Suman at his house here, Superintendent of Police, Surendra Kumar Jha, said on Saturday.

Jha said the police had information that Mandal, with the help of his aides, used to fit a card reader and micro camera in the place specified for ATM card swap and used to procure the bank details of the customers. Then, he would withdraw money from their account fraudulently.
