Man arrested for duping people on pretext of selling mobile phones
Delhi Police has arrested a 36-year-old man in South Delhi for allegedly duping people on the pretext of selling mobile phones. Police said that the man used to show original mobiles but later used to swap it with dummy mobiles.
The accused has been identified as Umar Zahid, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut area. Police said that Umar along with his associate used to come into the city from Meerut to commit crime and after that they used to return back.
According to Atul Kumar Thakur, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South district, on July 17, at 7:30 PM, a police team near BRT road signaled a biker to stop but the rider tried to flee away.
