Making content more accessible for disabled: OTTs

Several over-the-top (OTT) entertainment platforms in India such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have conveyed to the government that they are taking steps to ensure that entertainment is more inclusive and accessible to people with disabilities.

The OTT service providers were responding to a letter sent by the ministry of information & broadcasting (MIB) last month. The ministry had written to two industry bodies that represent these companies after the Delhi High Court issued an order to make films and other content accessible to persons with disabilities.
