Maharashtra to be first state to adopt model RFP

Maharashtra said it would adopt the model RFP in two months, offering technology services companies a smooth procurement process for technology projects.

Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) in August last year released the draft on model RFP (request for proposal) after repeated efforts by the IT-BPM industry body Nasscom.

Now, the state governments have to adopt the advisory or guidelines of the model RFP to ensure an easy selection of technology services companies for any government projects.

Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis promised that the state government would implement the fresh process to participate in technology work tender.
