Made in India smartphone shipments rise 16% in Q2; Oppo, Samsung, Vivo lead: Counterpoint

NEW DELHI: Made-in-India smartphone shipments in the country grew 16% year on year to over 44 million in Q2 2022 as companies pushed for a higher output to meet the criteria for Production Linked Incentive (PLI) incentives, according to Counterpoint Research data released on Thursday.

Oppo led the Made in India shipments with a 24% share, followed by Samsung (21.8%) and Vivo (14%), as per the report. In the third-party electronics manufacturing services (EMS) players, Bharat FIH and Dixon led the chart with 9.8% and 8.1% share, respectively, as per the report.
