Locally made iPhone 15 to go on sale in India soon after Sept 12 launch
Apple is reportedly planning to launch the iPhone 15 in India alongside global launch, according to a news report in the Economic Times. Last year, Apple took around a month to make the iPhone 14 available in the country despite its partner Foxconn starting production at the Chennai facility mere days after the global launch. This year, the made in India iPhone 15 is expected to hit the stores in the country alongside global launch. The local produce would initially be used by Apple to cater to India, before it starts exporting the units to Europe and US by the end of 2023.
