lenovo opens edplatform for student registrations

Lenovo, the global technology leader, in collaboration with eVidyaloka, a not-for-profit organization, on Wednesday opened the SmarterEdplatform opening for student registrations. This new, free online platform is designed to encourage Indian youth to participate in digital remodelling of education system, by matching learners with volunteer educators in one-on-one online learning sessions.

According to government estimates, India faces a shortage of one million teachers, with a decreasing student-to-teacher ratio. Challenges to education have been exacerbated by restrictions due to COVID-19, especially for those from poorer backgrounds or in remote areas.The Lenovo SmarterEd platform allows students from classes V to XII to choose their teachers, select subject they would like to learn, and take out time to learn as per their convenience.
