Karnataka aims to take tech ecosystem beyond Bengaluru as WFH gathers steam
Bengaluru: Karnataka on Thursday kicked off a new initiative called “Beyond Bengaluru” aiming to take its deep-rooted technology ecosystem beyond India’s tech capital taking advantage of ‘work from home’ or ‘work from anywhere,’ work culture.
Deputy chief minister CN Ashwath Narayan, who launched the programme, said the idea was aimed at facilitating the growth of IT /ITeS, business process outsourcing (BPO), electronic system design manufacturing (ESDM), and telecom sector industries in cities such as Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubbali-Dharwad and Shivamogga. The initiative is part of the three-day Bengaluru Tech Summit 2020, scheduled from November 19.
