Jio’s market share reaches to 34.33% in May: Trai

NEW DELHI: Newcomer Reliance Jio’s market share reached to 34.33% while the country’s total user base has seen a decline of 0.49% at the end of May, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) Wednesday said.

Reliance Jio’s market share of subscribers reached to 34.33%, Bharti Airtel’s 27.78%, and Vodafone Idea’s 27.09% as of May 31, 2020, the sector regulator in a finding said.

“The private access service providers held 89.21% market share of the wireless subscribers whereas BSNL and MTNL, the two PSU access service providers, had a market share of only 10.79%.” Trai in a statement said.
