Jio to raise JioPhone price by Rs 300, will now retail for Rs 999: Report

NEW DELHI: Mukesh Ambani-led Jio is set to raise the price of JioPhone by Rs 300 and will now sell the smart feature phone for Rs 999, as per a report by 91Mobiles that cited offline retailers as the sources.

It is worth noting that the JioPhone had been launched originally for Rs 699 in Diwali 2019.

Along with the price hike, Jio is also said to bundle a mandatory Rs 125 prepaid recharge with the purchase of JioPhone, thereby taking the effective price to Rs 1,124.
